Loved this so much Candice! I can listen to him all day. Something so calming about him. We love John- he has always been a part of our lives. ❤ Loved all his analogies. It is so reassuring to many of us who feared death hearing to him speak so beautifully about the afterlife. There shouldn’t be closure. It shouldn’t be a period. There should be a comma a continuation a relationship. There is no end.

I am also 1/2 Italian and Irish.i once asked my mom what I “was” and she said “because you have your fathers last name, you’re what your father is, so you’re Italian” John, I think all Italians can follow at LEAST 3 conversations at once. When there are gatherings it becomes self preservation or you might miss something! I do it to this day in my 70’s

What he said about the second year is so true. I felt the grief more that year than the first. I now advise my friends who’ve lost someone to be prepared for that.
