  The other side of this going unnoticed is the people who do still have their jobs being relentlessly squeezed for everything they have to make up for the lack of staff.

  I created my own job. It’s not the greatest job but it pays a little money . I cut grass. Simply formed a &nbsp;LLC . Purchased insurance and went to work . 9 years now . I work 7-8 months a year and haven’t gotten fired yet

  My father got a layoff notice after working 19 years at a company in the 80s, after the company had cashed out the company pension to enrich themselves. It was around this time that being loyal to a company was dead...<br><br>Company loyalty died decades ago!

  I swear since I&apos;ve been working my emergency fund is really my get laid off fund. Get job, build fund, get canned, fund gone. I&apos;ve done this like 5-6 times since 2009. I hate it.

  I&apos;ve had people ghost me on virtual or Zoom interviews all the time. I showed up to an in person interview at the appointed time, and the interview disappeared for 30 minutes, leaving me in a full suit and tie in a hot warehouse in Texas. I left only for him to &nbsp;call and text me about 10 minutes later saying now they were ready for an interview if I was interested. Professionalism in dead.

  After being laid off almost 3 years ago and took me 7-8 months to find work and live off of savings…I now work 2 jobs 😅 I’m so scared to work one job, I have another as a backup, and I am rebuilding the savings I lost during my layoff. It was the scariest of times. Don’t leave your job!!
