  You have one of the best most knowledgeable shops I have ever seen. I am sure you know about this, but what about using a MotorVac Carbonclean machine or similar? I'm assuming you don't like using those? I have seen a couple episodes that the vehicle you were working on just like this Ford Edge with misfire would have been a good candidate to do a Carbonclean service. I just watched the rest of the video and a Crabonclean won't fix a head gasket. Still, when the problem is just carbon a CarbonClean or walnut blasting can be an option. Both have their place.

  I think you're supposed to do a compression test with all spark plugs removed in case you have a leak between cylinders. I'm just a DIYer not a mechanic.

  I have never brought a vehicle to your shop.  I watch your videos and trust you guys would do a great job for me. As a brand new customer if I were to bring my vehicle to your shop, would you give me the extra special fast service like you gave this 12 year customer or would I get less then that type of service because I am a brand new customer?

  Thinking out loud… Imagine if there was a way to calculate the amount of time technicians spent under the hood of any motor vehicle. That beautiful El Camino in the background got me thinking of this. I would bet that the Camino being 50+ years old has less time under the hood than that modern car. That’s a sad fact!😮

  I probably have this problem with my chevy. This thing was cursed it should have been scrapped I've already got 7000 into it and that's not even talking about engine problems

  Give the client a rental for a month, then cycle the vehicle through the shop on a non-emergency basis!

  My cuz had same failure about 70k he was told new long block. He became a thorn ate half the cost. He had it traded for highlander before it was done and no longer trust ford. I have theory though arp type studding could stop this with clamping force. My thinking is like 6.0 diesels.
