  I worked with an Architect in the 1970s who had a Morgan.  It looked like a pretty conventional 1920s roadster, but with three wheels.  It had doors and a convertible roof and the engine was definitely not exposed.  Strange how they've developed them into something only the frivolous super rich would bother with.

  IMHO the 50 and 60's were a great time for creative, small cars and I am glad I got to drive a couple and sit in others.

  I rode in a three wheel Messerschmitt in 1972, when you closed the huge front door the air pressure hurt my ears!<br><br>Mitsubishi designed and manufactured the Zero fighter plane. &nbsp;Somehow they managed the transition to car manufacturing.

  Mazda MX5s are the direct descendants of the R360. &nbsp;They are a very popular convertable in Europe and Australia.<br><br>The Go-Go mobile is rarely seen in Australia today, but everybody knows the name because it was used on a long running car insurance commercial that featured a big gruff Scots man searching for parts for one over the phone.

  The “features” of the Goggomobil Dart are the same as my JZR 3 wheeler - no doors, no roof or weather gear, small windscreen, very low to the ground. &nbsp;In addition, no reverse gear. &nbsp;But so much FUN!

  I owned the strangest car I&apos;ve ever personally seen on the road, a Suzuki X-90. Over its three year production run, a little over 7,000 of these came to the U.S. Ford sold more F-150s every month, but few men will love a woman the way I loved that car. We called it the &quot;Roger Rabbit Car&quot; because it looked like it had rolled straight out of a cartoon, and really, it was akin to dating Brittney Spears because everywhere you parked, you had to allow time to answer the questions of strangers who would walk up and start asking about it. I had that car for four years before it gave up the ghost, and driving has never been the same since.

  I watched a series of videos of an English guy driving a miniature jeep across the US, it looked half size, and could manage some quite impressive terrain.
