Old Owner Paid BIG MONEY For Abandoned Storage Unit! We Don't Know Why!

I am totally amazed at the amount of paperwork in this storage unit. Who the hell keeps that amount of paperwork, and who the hell pays that amount of money to store it for 20 years? Up until around the 40th minute, I was really worried that you would find ANYTHING else but paperwork. Who would have guessed that a box of old Levi's would bring such joy, but I'm sorry that you ended up not making much more, but you know what? It's good that you show the units that don't make you much money. It shows the rest of us that it's not all luxury watches and jewelry. But I've got to ask the question that you asked yourselves: who the hell would pay over $20,000 to store all this junk, when a 5x5 would have done the same job? I have never seen such a bad unit. Onwards and upwards,

Many things 15 years ago had to be kept in then line of paperwork, like receipts, business papers, letters tax documentd, for at least 7 years. At some point you would just start throwing it into a box, throwing it in a a corner......then the storage unit. thank God we no longer have to keep mountians of paper we can just send it to the cloud.

No one puts things in storage thinking I'm just going to leave it here for 15 years. They think when things settle down, or when I get a place. it's my dad's stuff and I don't know what to do with it. Most units that you find up for auction are also not because people . have no money left, it's more likely that they finally say, "I am sick of paying for this and have no idea what ton do with ir"

I think I can explain holding onto boxes of old paperwork. When I move house i don't have time to go throuh it all. When each box might take two hours to go through and process it the tempotation to just throw tye whole box in the removal truck and work on it later is overwealming especially if there might be receipts in those boxes for updating accounts and/or doing their taxes for years, will hang onto thiose boxes indefinately.. Until you put the time aside it never gets done.

I can understand the paperwork if this was an older persons storage unit. When we cleaned out my mom and dads home we found pay stubs from my dads first job. He was 85 years old when he passed. Lots of other receipts from years ago. He kept everything.

With all that junk mail, I would like stamped envelopes or personal letters.
