As an indigo dyer if the cutter is using gloves and plastic bags to wrap the indigo the Indigo Dye is Synthetic—not a natural indigo. Botanical Indigos used with mordants and proper washing does not bleed. The color after dying will stay for decades. It’s a big factor of why there was a Slave Trade—the love of indigo.

I've temporarily moved to Tokyo from Australia and have seen a handful of videos of people going to Nippori, I swear yours is the first to actually include pricing, so thank you for that! Very keen to check it out, but I'm trying to wait until closer to when I move home so I don't just fill up my tiny apartment with fabric that I can't use until I'm back with my sewing machine! Great to see the entredeux trims are so affordable too, I'd love to see the kind of nightgown you were talking about!
