I understand both perspectives. My father was EXACTLY like Joe Jackson. And for most of my life I felt like Michael did towards my father. But now that I’m older, I give my father a lot more grace. He only parented the way he knew how and every parent knows, there’s no blueprint to parenting…u really just learn along the way.

Even though they didn’t have a normal childhood, their father and mother did an amazing job keeping all 9 of them away from trouble. Michael and his siblings were so very well raised.
