  Google the essay written by a Japanese fan, he went to a Mexican restaurant and was confused by the free chips and salsa, he felt obligated to eat the "gift" of three basket of chips and salsa!  It was such a sweet essay about America.

  Just for future information, Buc-ee's is not a truck stop. They don't allow semi-trucks or anyone sleeping in the parking lot overnight. It's a gas station on steroids.

  I loved watching clips of the Scots in Boston! They lit it up and drank it dry, woke them up at 630am with bagpipe parades, put traffic cones on all the statues, and filled football and other sports venues with eardrum bursting chanting and singing! Great fun!

  I'm a proud American anyway, but these videos just make me that much prouder and bring me to happy tears! I just love what's happening right now. The joy, camaraderie, kindness, love and unity I'm seeing in these videos is just so healing. Thank GOD the World Cup came to America. We didn't know we needed it so badly!

  The original Ranch salad dressing recipe was concocted in the early 1950s by Steve Henson, a Thayer, Nebraska, native working as a plumbing contractor in the Anchorage area, while cooking to feed his work crews.  Henson served the salad dressing he had created at his Hidden Valley Ranch steakhouse, which became popular, and guests bought jars to take home.The first commercial customer for ranch dressing was Henson's friend, Audrey Ovington, who was the owner of Cold Spring Tavern. By 1957, Henson began selling packages of dressing mix in stores.

  My grown kids can comprehend I didn’t have internet or a cell phone. That I can remember when my mom brought home a new salad dressing she had heard of and that I remember the joy of that first taste of ranch is completely incomprehensible to them.
