  Flew last week  AI A320NEO Chennai - Dubai Business class. Thoroughly impressed with its on time departure , refurbished interior and very good food offerings. There is a positive  approach by its crew as well with improved product .

  I hope the refurbishment program of older airplanes in the fleet speeds up and makes the product better for travelers and encourage more people to choose AI and make it reclaim its former glory

  2026 deliveries would be their first Airbus A350-1000 (VT-JRO) and their first line-built Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (VT-AWA). Other deliveries would include more 787-9’s, more A350’s, more line-built 737 MAX’s for AIX and other A320/A321neo’s. Also, their two refurbished 787-8’s (VT-ANT and VT-ANP) are scheduled to return to service in February 2026 after being stored in Victorville for a complete refurbishment.

  The situation with the B77L is so wack with Air India. They originally ordered 8 brand new from Boeing. They sold 5 in the 2010s to Etihad so they only had 3 or the original remaining. Then they leased 5 B77L from Delta which was removed from service during COVID. Air India was now back to having 8 B77L. Now AI returned 2 to DL, sold their original 3 for cargo conversion and the 3 that remain are leased from Delta. <br><br>In an added twist the recent addition of 6 B77W are ex-Etihad. So AI basically swapped B77L for B77W with Etihad

  While their Narrow Body Experience have improved a lot they need to figure out to quickly Replace their Ageing Widebodies with Broken Interiors

  I feel good that Air India returned back to its original owners, but I am sad that Ratan Tata couldn&apos;t see it grow as one of the best in the world.
