  I cannot see any improvements. It appears to be yet another exercise of squeezing more cabins in at the loss of public space. I already preferred the QE2 to the QM2 because of the higher staff to guest ratio. It is the way of things when the accountants take over.

  Emotionally losing any library space does not feel good. We always found it very busy at its current size,

  I don&apos;t mind the addition of the new cabins in most of the spaces ... EXCEPT ... the addition of the Suite at the expense of losing the Bookstore. Not only because of that loss, but the design simply doesn&apos;t seem to work, and it seems like an odd fit. The other additions seem more architecturally and design positive, where this addition just seems weird. I hope that Cunard RETHINKS the addition of that Suite.

  Stephen Paine and his team designed the ship and he was very specific about cabin locations, noise, guest area to cabin ratios. He is a naval engineer.<br>Moving too far away from his design might not be for the best.<br>The guy knew what he was doing. The QM2 has never felt like a crowded ship, apart from the buffet.

  I feel a little bit more encouraged after seeing you video. I love the QM2 as it is now and felt very uncertain hearing scant details about changes happening before my 2027 trip. Those open spaces are just so wonderful on this ship.

  The upper deck was never used anytime I was up there. So if there are building more staterooms with a deck above it there would be no loss of space. Also, you mentioned the new Q4 suite is so far forward so are the other suites, look at your floor plan.

  I&apos;ve cruised all of my life even as a child. from 1975 until now. QM2 has always been my ship of choice. She is the queen of the seas and a must bucket list to do. when i go to Europe for the summer 15 times now i book a simple inside cabin going and coming from NY usually to Hamburg and sometimes on through the fiords of Norway. this beats flying even in first class any day and i arrive relaxed and at peace. God Save the Queen. may she sail another 25 years.

  While my wife and I always visited the gift shop adjacent to the library, it became slim pickings after a while. &nbsp;So I am just thankful that there doesn&apos;t seem to be any reduction in the library collection. While seating in the library was at a premium, you could always take your checked out book to the Commodore Club one deck above. &nbsp;So I see no problem here. &nbsp;It&apos;s still the world&apos;s largest <br>library at sea.
