  The layered rock ledge is such a find. Water running across the stone under the fire, the stream moving just beside it, and that lantern in the tree. You can tell this is a real fire and not a loop. It has that uneven, living quality. Beautiful spot.

  Thank you very much for this video. For years, I’ve been exploring the forests here in Germany, venturing off the beaten path. You arrive at a spot and think it’s bound to get even better further on. Usually, though, you end up disappointed or faced with new challenges. The fact is, that initial, stirring impression of a spot in the woods simply cannot be topped—unless, of course, you live in Austria, Alaska or northern Canada.
