That sick fanart at the start has basically canonised Thaf as an ENA in the extended ENAverse

Its theorized that episode 2 is about ENA going to the "extinction party" because Moony is there to die, based on hints in Dream BBQ combined with Merci's ACTUAL dialogue. The idea is that ENA is there to show Moony that her life matters, and that she is in fact, a gift! There's a lot of hints honestly that Moony is insecure, which is why she's so mean and cracking jokes to seem cool- it all kinda lines up too well

I’m so excited this is giving a reason for him to play Dream BBQ

oh, btw, Merci and Robert's dialouge didn't match up with the subtitles, being BLATANTLY wrong: they're actually warning ENA of the dangers of the maze.

Desperately hoping this is a lead-up to playing Dream BBQ.
Worker ENA is even more relatable than Web series ENA...

I like the new VA for Happy Ena more (Independently of the old VA's actions, I mean). Griffin does a great job at capturing that weird sort of way of speaking while still somehow being the sanest person in the room.

13:00 note on this scene, this is also kinda spoilers for dream bbq so, bare in mind, also, tw: mentions of suicide but the “extinction party” that this episode takes place is shown in dream bbq during the “purge event” and its kinda implied that both are a sort of like, suicide party essentially, and so ena coming there to tell moony that she is a gift and that she is loved and cherished while she is attending what js basically a suicide party ive seen be interpreted as ena going there to stop moony from commiting suicide, you can even see hints of that if you translate what the characters are saying properly since the subtitles are intentionally false, so ya, basically this scene is meant to be ena telling moony “hey, you are such a gift and you are loved, appreciated and cherished” not how you interpreted it lol

Fun factoid, dunno if you already knew this or not BUT moony’s design is based on a SUPER old short film where people go to the moon. In it they had a shot with someone’s face covered in cream to signify the moon where then a rocket lands in its eye.

Extinction Party was made into a VRChat world with avatars and mirrors, but got taken down and hasn't come back since. My partner and I miss that world. We used to hang out there all the time...
