I had to literally tell my doctor to please just test me. She apologized profusely when the results came back.

I contracted Lyme in 2015 and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I couldn't walk, couldn't even lift my arm and I couldn't sleep because of the severe pain 24 hours a day. Lyme is horrendous. After a few weeks in hospital the doctor's told me that they couldn't do anything to help me and that my body would have to heal itself. After 3 months in hell I was on the verge of taking my own life just to end the pain. What saved me was reading a book by Professor Buhner's called 'Healing Lyme' and followed his protocol to the letter. When I told the doctor's what I was going to do that they laughed at me. But what else was I supposed to do?
It was a very slow process because first you have to reboot your immune system and second you have to fight the bacteria of which actually hides from your immune system - known as 'pathogenic bacteria'. What is different about the Lyme bacteria to other bacteria is that it eats the magnesium in your body whereas most bacteria eat iron. Without magnesium your muscles can't work. Little by little I began to improve but I won't lie, it was the fight of my life. All in all it took about one year for all the symptoms and the pain to stop. Only then could I begin to build up my strength again. Today, 2024, I play golf and I am a 8 handicap. If I ever contracted Lyme againI don't think I could go through it again and would probably just end my life. That's how vicious it is.
For anyone reading this who has Lyme - don't give up - your body can kill it. It takes a special diet, special herbs and sheer will power. It will be the fight of your life but if you want your life back that is what you must do.

You should have mentioned all the peer reviewed studies proving the ELISA and Western blot combo has 50% false negatives. People are being left to suffer in this country. Thanks for inferring that untreated borelliosis is much harder to treat though.

I have severe psoriatic arthritis. I’ve been sick for years. Now 20 years later after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia the psoriatic arthritis that caused spondylitis and mutalins of my hands. I’m very very sick ! The fatigue & pain is off the charts. If only one of my specialists doctors had suggested the psoriatic arthritis was caused from Lyme disease.

I have chronic neuroborreliosis. My life is destroyed. Tick bites can be extremely serious and ruin lives. The politics surrounding the fact if it can be chronic or not were brought about by the insurance companies because they did not want to pay out. Chronic Lyme Disease is real

I went to ER on Thursday they never looked at my red blotches. Just treated me for dehydration and took chest X-ray to make sure no pneumonia. 2 days later went to urgent care and they diagnosed me with Lyme. Two days earlier would have helped! 7 people talked to me during my stay for 4 hours.. no one cared.

I have Lyme now. Just got through the antibiotics two weeks ago and my joint pain is worse than ever. Feels like my knee is going to break and my elbow is on fire. It was still in the acute phase. I live in Chester County, PA which is one of the highest positive results counties in the country. Going in for more bloodwork on Friday to check levels.

Im a taxidermist and was bit multiple times throughout my life not knowing tick bites were a big deal. A few yrs back i was bit while working and within a few days went way down hill. I had a fever and dropped weight until I was in the double digits (20+lbs) I was covered in a rash from chest to torso. I went to the ER and she refused to test me for tick disease and said it was mono. I had to beg for 6 hrs before they tested and that's when it was discovered I had rocky mountain spotted fever. They said they had no idea what to do and sent me home crying. I went back to a different ER who also had no idea. My neurologist also said sorry and sent me to a Infectious disease dr who called game and fisheries who told her there was no such thing as rmsf in rural va so she said I must have something else. Its been a few years and its gotten so much worse I can't stand it. I haven't been tested since they discovered rmsf but I had the bullseye and can't eat meat. Its a struggle day to day. My bones, muscles nerves.... everything hurts. It is nice to when folks understand though. Thank you. So much.

I have lyme disease. It robs you of your life. I tested negative for lyme. My doctor told me I did not have it. He told me I had mental problems. What an asshole. Suffering for over 3 years with all this inflammation in my body. I was very athletic also. I met someone in the medical field and a holistic doctor who performed 4 different tests. There it was. Now I have been taking injectable peptides, along with diet and an easy exercise daily. Now I am 50% percent better within a 6 month period. I still can't work or play sports. But I am grateful for feeling a little better. And yes i was bitten by a small black tick that was on my inner leg for over 48 hours. Month later, got sick, sicker and stayed sick for over 4 years.

I started getting, what appeared to be some sort of bug bites( there were many gnats in my apartment, so, thought it was from the gnats) that was in July of 2021, and eventually, the bites went away.
In January 2022, I had the “bullseye” rash on my arm, February, the “bites” oh so I thought, all on my feet!
First blood test came out negative, but, I’m being put on an antibiotic, because I now have, arthritis in the ankle joint, wrists, extreme fatigue, and headaches.
I’m so afraid, because, it’s been eight months since the first of the rashes appeared, and, I already have fibromyalgia, osteoporosis and degenerative disc problems, I definitely don’t need or want this Illness!!!!😞
