A friend of mine built a house in a subdivision. He put up a fence and paved his driveway. The neighbor came over and started screaming that my friend was 6 inches on his side of the line. He ended up calling in a surveyor. there was an 18 inch discrepancy. So he pulled up his new fence and moved it over the 18 inches. It turns out the other guy was 18 inches onto my buddies property.. He said if he had found out later and the guy had been decent he wouldn't have cared, but the guy made it an issue so he got his wish and the new fence was put where it should be.

With a neighbor like that, I'd look look into putting a couple of dozen pigs back there.

Surveying will cost some bucks, but it's well worth it in the long run.

In the UK we had a nosy, intrusive neighbour, always sticking their nose in where it was not wanted. When we cleared some land we told them it was for a new crematorium. Friends with a larger property told their neighbours the land was sold to build a school for violent pupils unfit for mainstream education.

I went thru that for thirty years on a little stretch of land by mine that I mowed for the lady behind me. Finely push came to shove and the Karen that claimed it was hers had it surveyed. She got her ass handed to her a bag !!

Thats why my property is all staked out and it was surveyed....all 24 acres. No neighbor issues. One was on mine and using it until then. All good now.

Reason number 1000 why we don't have a neighbor closer than 2 miles.
