I met Giant Haystacks a couple of times in the 70s. Out of the ring, he was one of the nicest guys I have ever met.

I grew up watching wrestling, my step father actually showed his muscles off being a one time wrestler and a weight lifter. My Grandfather would watch on TV and would drink his beer and smoke cigarette after cigarette. My eyes would burn from it as I tryed to fall asleep in a trailer both my Grand parents lived. ❤

Andre was my favourite giant he just had that giant look , his head was what made him visually, his face was that of a giant handsome but also intimidating!

The 70s   George The Animal Steel on Saturday with my grandma all waving her arms and screaming at the TV is quite the memory. I was around 10-13 years old. Bruno San Martino was champ 🏆🥇

Andre had it rough. He was so big and just kept growing. I remember when I first saw El Gigante in the WCW on TV.. I was a kid and that was the tallest guy I've seen in my life. He was like a tree. John Stud was also very impressive.. very massive and strong. I saw Sid outside an arena after a show once while I was waiting for my ride. It was easy to tell it was him even though it was dark. He turned around and walked the other way like he was either confused as to where he was going or simply thought I was a fan and didn't want any attention.

This video is excellent. It highlights all the wrestlers that I saw and enjoyed back in the 80's. Thank you for a wonderful video.

I met HULK HOGAN 1 time at Weight city gym in SSF CA before a Cow palace event aprox 43 years ago. I got to work out in the gym while he and other wrestlers were working out. Hulk was small compared to most of these guys. I am 6 .2 and I had to bend my neck  noticeably to look him in the eyes. The diameter of Hulks fingers were at least !/2 dollars as a  hand shake with him was like I only had 3 fingers. And when I would see close ups of Andre the giants hands next to Hulk was mind boggling .He told me he was always traveling either missing a meal or a work out or in the ring. I asked him (then how do you stay so big )? He replied (I am shrunk I am 330 pounds  I am usually 350). But the one thing Hulk had on all of these guys expecially back in the day Hulk was in better shape like a fit man at 230 pounds. He had 100 pounds of solid muscle on the average extra large man .I think he was 6.7 inches tall
