  Anomen fits every negative stereotype of a Paladin without actually being one. I honestly respect the commitment to the bit. He’s an obnoxious ass who lives up to his own hype. I do wonder if his reputation would be any better if he wasn’t the only female romance option in the base game.

  I absolutely love Anomen and Aerie. Iove being Anomen's better half and cheerleader as a female Cavalier. And I love being Aerie's knight in shining armor for Aerie as a male Cavalier. I like that these characters have exaggerated personality traits. I like my heroes to fit archetypes. And conform to a kind of heightened reality. Think many comic book or anime characters. I do get that it can be a bit much for some.

  Anomen personality is strange. He was in my party when I beat BG2 for the very first time 20+years ago and he was so annoying I ignored him for years in my playthroughs. But one time I gave him another chance and damn it, I grew to like him! He&apos;s so arrogant and hipocrytical it became hilarous and fun actually! And even when failing his quest he&apos;s not that much worse, he will still got so many spell slots it will be enough, and he will be f strong anyway.<br>---<br>In BG2 all NPCs are good, you can go with whoever you like and you should be fine (dunno about EE NPCs, I just igrore them). But for comedy puprose best build would be Korgan, Jan, Minsc, Anomen and Edwin.

  I would also consider dual wielding with Valygar. &nbsp;Since, like Minsc, he&apos;s also a ranger, he also starts with two pips in two weapon style. &nbsp;If you give him the final pip in 2 weapon style and a pip in war hammer, he can use Crom Faeyr in his off hand. &nbsp;Not so that it can do damage itself, but so that he can get the benefit of 25 strength to the main hand damage, which is what gets multiplied when he does sneak attacks. &nbsp;I speced him that way during one playthrough and he became a single-target damage dealing machine.

That being said, I actually like the story beat of Anomen&apos;s sister and father, I think it shows a vulnerable side that taps into why being &quot;Lawful&quot; is as important as being &quot;Good.&quot;

  I am currently on my first BG2 playthrough, and so didn&apos;t know about the whole Yoshimo thing. Now I&apos;m sad because I was really enjoying having him in my party.

  Ironically the reason for using dorn is tanking. He is the only character that can combine hardiness+defender of easthaven+armor of faith to reach 95% max resistances, that is ok with reputation hitting 1 and mordering everyone

  I know that people hate Anomen, and I know why, but he&apos;s my favorite character in the game. He&apos;s an outrageous seven-letter-word in exactly the way I want him to be. That he&apos;s fantastic on the team is just a bonus.

  Yoshimo can be brought to tob with imprisonment, but that requires bhaalspawn to be sorcerer and to do rest of the game as a 5man party. He is dualable to figher though making him pretty strong actually. No banter after though
