  Zeeshan handled this discussion exceptionally well. He was calm, respectful and precise, yet completely dominated the conversation by focusing on scientific paradigms and the problem of induction. He ultimately brought the discussion back to the existence of God, highlighting the difference between explaining how something happens and why it exists. An excellent example for anyone involved in dawah. May Allah bless him. I plan to break this down in more detail in a video reaction, inshaAllah.

  Hi Zeeshan, thank you for the discussion, I really enjoyed it. I need to make some corrections to what I said, as whilst they don’t undermine the case I made some of my figures were off:<br><br>I was wrong to say that every animal apart from humans and chimps can synthesise vitamin C, there are some other species who lost that ability <br><br>I also spoke too broadly when I described ERV’s as having no function; many are degraded, but some have acquired useful functions, including roles in the placenta<br><br>The overall number of HERV’s Depends on whether fragments or solo LTRs are included. So my approximate count should not be taken as an exact figure of viruses, though it makes little difference to the point.<br><br>Common ancestry does explain why particular ERV sequences occur at orthologous genomic locations across primates in a broader pattern of shared inheritance. I hope you get to look further into this. I&apos;m also very impressed and pleased to see @Subhoor Ahmad in the comment section as I&apos;m very interested in his work.<br><br>Thank you!
