Mike, I pray that you will have a wonderful life in spite of this unthinkable betrayal. You certainly took the high road and have blessed us with your story. I can only imagine how sad your father had to be without you in it at the end. Thank you for showing us a way through the pain.

Thank you for having Mike on the show again. I worked in a West African country in the ‘90s before cell phones. I occasionally hung out in this enclave where expatriate businessmen, engineers, etc. lived in big homes like in American suburbs and had second wives and kids, while their wives and kids in their native countries had no clue. The second household enjoyed a deceptive, but privileged lifestyle, but I’ve always wondered what was the impact on the first family? The pervading attitude in the enclave seemed to be “ignorance is bliss”! Mike explains how betrayal can be detrimental to the family before and after discovery.
