  The real lore of hello neighbor: Theodore Peterson ( the neighbor) had a wife and two kids. One day Theo and his wife were driving until a car crash. It killed the wife. The son (Aaron) had trauma ( I think). Then on that day Aaron and Maya (the daughter) was playing hide in seek, then both of them on the roof on the house Aaron accidentally pushed Maya off the roof of the house and died. Theo buried Maya’s body in his back yard. That’s why Theo is locking his son Aaron in the basement because Theo didn’t want to lose him too. (If you play the hello neighbor games when you get caught by the neighbor  a couple times, you can see the flashbacks in the game. Hello neighbor Act 1 and 2, Hello neighbor hide in seek).
