Mutant Mayhem/Tales of the TMNT fans are just ROTTMNT Fans that migrated into the show's fandom after learning about the Turtle's personalities and age.

I've come up with this whole head cannon that because we've seen Leo stim in one of the trailers and he wants to be accepted as normal by humans like his brothers, that his want to get a girlfriend/his possible crush on April originates from wanting to be normal, not from an actual desire - and this want to fit the norm could possibly be accentuated by possible autism/social anxiety (maybe I'm projecting lol, this is an optional thing)
then you get an arc that hey, it's okay to not force yourself to have romantic interests - and that's a good message for kids bc then they don't feel pressured by the constant presence of romance in so much media, especially for kids too young to have developed romantic interests yet or are late bloomers, or even never will
but I'm not getting my hopes up bc that's probably too far outside the box lol

maybe leo's crush on april will be just that. a crush. just because we had the sh¡tshow that was apritello, and the, imo, weirdness of aprilangelo of tmnt 2014, doesnt mean this will be weird or creepy. hopefully, it will be him being adorably flustered, cuz he's a kid
