I used to go to Kirby as a child, swim and watch the jumpers from the bridge, later I used to snorkel in the river. I remember hearing I remember being told the bridge was built by the devil on request by a shepherd but the devil wanted the soul of the first living thing, that crossed the bridge, the shepherd sent a sheep, a slightly different version but similar vain.
