  Dolly Parton has now been married to “her man“ for 58 years. She is taking a break from show- business to take care of her husband with dementia. She is one class act.

  Dolly is the real deal!! Grew up barefoot and dirt poor. She returned all her blessings has many charities.

  Dolly was just telling a story there for the fun of it.  There was a bank teller who flirted with her husband and he would tease her about it, and she's joked, I knew he was spending too much time down at the bank because we didn't have that much money at the time!  So she took that thought, a woman trying to take her man, and then she met a little red-haired girl at a concert and she asked what her name was and she said Jolene and she thought that was a pretty name, so she put those two thoughts together for the song.  She did realize years later, she had written Jolene and I Will Always Love You on the cassette tapes she used to write songs.

  In an interview someone once asked Dolly “what do you want people to say about you in 100 years?” Dolly quickly responded “DAMN! She looks good for her age!”

  Dolly has been married to Carl Dean for almost 60 years. He never wanted to be in the spotlight but he wanted Dolly to have everything she wanted concerning her career.

  Nobody has ever said a bad word about her. She is beloved. She takes care of her hometown. She put in a theme park Dollywood and employs everybody. She grew up literally dirt poor.
