  Mix 1cup of butter, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and 2cups of flour. 1hour in fridge 1/2 hour in freezer bake sliced cookies in 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes wala mmm😁

  I’m 68 years old &amp; from Texas. My mom used to make these during the holidays when I was a little girl. We called them icebox cookies and they were scrumptious. 😋😉❤

  I am a sucker for a classic butter cookie. My mother used to make thee best butter cookies. I miss them, and I really miss her. I found her butter cookie recipe just a couple of months ago and now that the holidays are upon us, I think I&apos;ll be teaching my children how to make her cookies. <br>Thanks for this reminder.

  Scottish Short Bread is made the same way. I love them no need for Vanilla Extract. Cup of real Earl Gray with the Cookies and I am in Heaven.

  In Scotland we call this shortbread. To make it even better, you can roll the logs of dough in demerara sugar before chilling. This is called ,Highland Shortbread, and gives it a lovely crisp edge.

  I use to cook these they were called ice box cookies and I put the dough in the freezer and just cut off how many cookie I wanted to cook for my kids put the rest back on the freezer. Memories. I just told my daughter about these the other day.
