  I remember this whole case from start to finish, i was 11 when Stephen was killed, i remember watching the Panorama episode with the secret video and being convinced that they deserved the book throwing at them. How the hell they walked out of court free men was totally beyond me. Major respect for his parents though, keeping their focus, remaining dignified and never giving up! Shame it took so long!

  The poor man died innocently and the life is over for him,  but the real torture and drama was for his family who should deal with this injustice situation.

  The only positive thing in all this is that so many people came forward with the names when it first happened. In vain, it turns out.

  Don&apos;t talk to me about family liaison officers! When my daughter died in a car accident, I had to go to the morgue to id her. The &quot;liaison officer&quot; sat outside smoking ...<br>Nowt to do with race, I&apos;m as white as a sheet and so was my daughter. Eventually another colleague of my daughter arrived (she was a police officer, and a good one too) and stayed with me (he was black btw). I was ever so grateful for his presence. He really was a comforting presence during that very, very sad occasion.

  i dont understand RACISM i mean that word has no need to exist i thought society has changed, people have changed but the comments show people still think their race is superior to others ... hell no guys you and i are the same we have eyes, ears and all that, who cares if I&apos;m black or white, I&apos;m human and thats all that matters !!!!

  Alot of people have already pointed out that the verbal dialect and speaking accent of modern young Londoners nowadays has certainly become very Jamaicanized - compared to the old cockney accent /dialect of the white Londoners interviewed by the police in the investigation.<br>(Jamie, Neil, David, Gary, Luke) <br>But allow me to point out that the mindset of many young Londoners regarding the carrying of knives remains the same whether they are Black or White.<br>Violence is violence - the only difference is that its less about race nowadays and more about power and control - regardless of the skin colour of the victims versus the skin colour of the perpetrators.
