Celtic fantasy music from the throne hall of a kingdom long gone, where ivy has taken the throne and coloured light falls through broken stained glass. Music for sleep, for deep rest, and for the quietest hours. Every video on this channel is a place in one continuous magical world called Tirawen. A travelling girl and her companion, a small white dragon named Eiri, are making their way through it — and each piece of music is somewhere they stopped along the road. ―📕 STORY― No one sits on the throne any more. Half the roof of the great hall has fallen in, and the ivy that came through it has climbed the walls, gone up the steps, and reached the arm of the high chair itself. The flagstones are broken, and grass grows from every seam between them, with small white flowers scattered through it. In the west wall, one window of stained glass has survived unbroken. The light that comes through it lays a long band of colour across the floor — violet, amber, deep blue. The band moves slowly; over the course of a day it seems to make its way towards the throne. Dust is visible only inside that light. It rises and sinks without a sound, and never quite finishes falling. The girl stood leaning on her staff, simply looking up. High above, faded tapestries hang in a row. The threads have frayed and the patterns can no longer half be read — something like a harp, something like a sheaf of wheat, and knotwork, a great deal of knotwork. Nowhere is it written what was once celebrated here. Eiri drifted into the band of colour. The white scales turned violet, turned amber, and went back to white. Each movement of the wings curled the dust a little, and the shafts of light showed all the more clearly. When the wind passed through, every ivy leaf turned over at once. It was the loudest sound in the hall. Someone once polished these flagstones. Someone closed the doors. No one is left who remembers which day was the last one. Even so, the third step alone is worn round at the edge, and only that — the feet that crossed it a thousand times — remains. The band of light reached the foot of the throne, passed once over the ivy-wound arm, and then began, slowly, to climb the wall. The sun had gone down the sky. As the colour thinned, the hall sank by degrees into blue. The dust could not be seen any longer. It had not gone; it went on drifting through the darkened air at exactly the speed it had before. The girl did not go up to the throne. She sat down at the foot of the steps, drew her knees up, and watched the last thread of light return to the window frame. Fallen seemed too heavy a word for quiet like this.
