The SR-71 Blackbird is also one of the machinist's great accomplishments. There were a lot of components made of titanium (largely sourced through the USSR using shell companies) because it was light weight, strong and less prone to shrinkage and expansion. Many of the machine shops working on these parts had never machined titanium before and had to retool a significant portion of their shops

A close second for the concrete guys is the Pantheon. A 2000 year old concrete dome that never collapsed. And the Pyramids for the masons.... but history is one of my hobbies.
