It’s in astonishing condition, it looks as though it could’ve been made yesterday.

it looks so well preserved and the colors of the flowers are so vibrant it's as if the tailors from the past created it for the lady who wore it to court centuries ago had made it today. it's so perfectly preserved and beautiful!!

The whole gown is beautiful, but the sleeves on this dress are absolutely stunning! This is truly a work of art.

Now I want to know why the family saved it and how it’s been passed down through the years.

I’m from a small town in the Deep South of the USA. Thank you for sharing these beautiful items with those of us who would otherwise never see them. I teach in our small town and try to share so many things with the kids. There’s a whole world they know nothing about. ❤

I had the pleasure of seeing this wonderful Mantua on display at the ‘Crown to Couture’ exhibition in 2022. Truly stunning.

This might be the most gorgeous fabric I've ever seen. Imagining someone wearing it, moving in it, smiling, dancing , flirting ... ❤

Hard to believe something 2 meters wide was once the height of elegance! The Mantua dress wasn’t just fashion, it was a statement of wealth, status, and visibility. Love it!❤

Wow, it's so beautiful. As a weaver myself my hat goes off to the weaver who created this gorgeous fabric considering they would have only done a matter of inches per day. Amazing work. Amazing finished product.

What a gorgeous masterpiece! I can't imagine the skill required to make it by the entire team of skilled craftsmen and women 300 years ago, but also the skill and craftsmanship of your team in the prep required in making it available for display! Bravo!
