I like MKBHD'S take: If you're thinking about the RAM and processor in this computer, you're not the target customer.

Edit: Woah this exploded. Thanks fellas 🤙

I like how the MacBook Neo is cheaper and worse than the iPad Pro yet it can do more pro tasks

I've never been an Apple or a Mac guy, but since the introduction of the M chips, the value proposition has been undeniably good

I'm an IT director for a 1-to-1 school. We've had MacBooks of some sort for the last 20 years. We're about to do a refresh. The MacBook Neo is going to save us over $120,000 on our next rollover compared to their previous EDU offering (M2 Airs). It might be the first time Apple made finance smile!

5:37 My guess they removed Touch ID on base model because they know it will be bought by schools for deploying in classrooms which won't benefit from it

for the student discount 499 dollars, this might be the best build quality and best single core score, highest res panel, best battery life at this price. im interested to see the sales after some time.

Market wise, a smart move from apple. Now that PCs have become more expensive these are gonna sell like crazy
