  When i was younger around the holidays we would all go up to go with more of our family in Canada and all we would do is cook & bake from scratch and most of the fruit, veggies & herbs was all fresh from there backyard gardens

  This looks delicious. I’m going to make it for my family tomorrow. Thank you for this recipe. Unfortunately this day and age, people who throw ready meals in the oven, think that’s cooking. I regularly spend time with my 2 x 30+ year old sons in the kitchen for hours making tasty meals like this. We talk as we prep ingredients, we share tasks, we move around the kitchen together, laughing discussing life events and capturing moments that we can remember, plus they will be forever grateful for those memories when I’m gone and can also do with their families. Cooking doesn’t have to be a chore. It’s our love language, that’s family time. I often face time with my nephew in America and we cook recipes together, following recipes step by step. He never had this experience and he loves it. Plus, his family reap the rewards of his cooking. Your mother sounds like a wonderful woman and her grandchildren are very lucky and I’ve no doubt many of them have learnt this recipe from her too. Once again thank you.
