Hey y'all we've gotten a lot of comments about the pics used in the video. They were done by editors that used the images without our consent, and it being such a long video, it was something we just trusted wouldn't happen. After this video, we quit working with them.

My favorite fan theory is that the reason Toph is portrayed as a giant man in the play in S3 is because the people she fought and beat were too embarrassed to admit it was a little girl that beat them

I suspect Iroh isn't very present in Book 3 because Iroh's original voice actor, Mako, died during post-production of Book 2, so likely they tried to honour him as much as possible by not having the new VA speak as many lines. It's also why Iroh's little mini-episode during Tales of Ba Sing Se is dedicated to Mako—it's something easy to add in late stages of production, a bit of writing to say that all of the developers miss him, and since the story for Iroh is so personal and sad, it also fits with the tones.

"The Avatar would never do that. They're all about balance and peace." Kyoshi: "Yeah, no, I killed his ass and I'd do it again"

I 100% agree about Aang's voice actor. The change in his voice throughout the show really makes you feel 1. the time that has passed, and 2. the change in Aang's maturity in the end of the show compared to the beginning.

I love how Sokka and Aang are both very capable on their own, but when you put them together, they become the literal embodiment of the "my last 2 brain cells" meme.

The final Agni Kai is my favorite fight in the series. Azula isn't firebending from her fingers like usual, she's using her whole hands, while Zuko firebends from his fingers at least once. Zuko is also using moves from every bending style, really taking Iroh's advice to heart, "It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If you take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale." He evaded like an airbender, he used a wide stance and faced an attack head on like an earthbender, and he redirected lightning, which was inspired by waterbending.

As painful as it is I love that Zuko’s progress is non-linear because it’s realistic and it shows that it takes more than a moment of work to get to where you need to be. It takes choosing to change over and over and over and it’s damn hard. And even when you’re at your high you’re still doing the work - as exemplified by Zuko asking Aang to kill him if he turns into his father. Even after his arc in the show he still worries about backsliding. And I really like this message- especially in a kids show. He still gets his redemption- it’s beyond satisfying when it finally happens- but it doesn’t set the expectation that change will happen in a blink.

(Absolutely understandable that you guys were so mad at him though. I was pissed too 😂)

I love how Sokka quietly becomes a non-magic avatar. Not only does he grow and learn as regards his opinions on women and foreigners. He learns every single nation's fighting style and adapts it to his own.

My favorite part about Book 3 is Zuko realizing how powerful the gang has gotten in his absence and realizing he picked a good time to stop hunting them down…
