My Aunt Marilynn died of cancer back in 1999. She loved the color bright pink. After she was diagnosed and given a couple years to live she decided to paint her house bright pink but not the inside… the neighborhood freaked out but it did not phase her one bit and one day after chemo she saw the painters finished she had the biggest brightest smile on her face despite the pain and nausea everything was right in her world. No matter what anyone else thinks if it’s for you do it!!!

What I admire most is not even the fact that you can renovate a whole house all by yourself and not even your perfect taste but the fact that you actually care about decorating your living space. I rarely see men who give a crap about the cushions or wall decorations, many say that it's not important or simply don't care. But you understand the power of these little details that put the house together and I find it incredibly attractive! Great job with the house! It was a pleasure to watch this series of videos. And if you put them together into one giant renovation video I'll watch it again! 💙

You don't have to apologize for having a teal house, when I moved into my new home, I had the bathroom painted "peppermint pink" and the bedroom was painted "laser lemon". The old house was basically shades of brown and I did NOT want that in the new one. I wanted colors that I never had before!! I did not care if other people liked it or not, it is my house.

OMG! You weren't kidding! I can't believe the color difference on YouTube and the the actual color tag! The house is going to be gorgeous! You're quite the decorator!!!!

Thanks for doing the "actual color" thing. I kept thinking before... "Does he know that's turquoise and not teal?" Joke was on me!

Refreshing to see a man who goes for the interior he likes and it actually is very soothing.

Mac, I want you to know that today I arranged for a cleaner to come around and help me organise my place. I should have done it years ago but you've given me the confidence to let someone else into my space to help me get my home back. I realised today, when I was looking at a week away, that what I was really doing was booking an escape from my own space - so now it's time to reclaim it for myself and put that money toward some real self-care.

Thank you.

"the blood of our fallen enemies and also some plants" is my core design aesthetic.

Only Mack can do flower arrangement with a screw gun. 😂 The house is looking sweet. Love the teal you picked out.
