The line about how the ultimate proof they succeeded was that she would run if she saw them today gave me chills. True love for wildlife is keeping your distance so they can stay wild.

I heard this story before. It is a lovely story of the growth and release of a rescued baby bobcat.

Beautifully presented. Sad, because as a human being I want to hold. Happy for the bobcat.

At first saying nothing will be hard to do, then training kicks in it becomes normal.

A beautiful tale of rescue rehabilitation and eventual release. Every single step highlighting the correct protocol, from Renata finding the newborn bobcat kitten and having her brother call it in to the centre, right through to the return to the wilderness where all bobcats truly belong. Josie Kemp deserves a medal. Her devotion to this abandoned kitten without breaking any of the protocols is admirable. This level of care is what gives wild animals in this predicament the best chance of a successful release and survival. The fluffy toy bobcat with a heartbeat is such a sweet touch. Thankyou :-)

So full of cliches.
...
I grew up with stuffed animals--much prefer them to hoomans any day.
