  I used to buy these old school kung-fu movies on VHS from the local store as a kid in the 80s. Sometimes I'd pick the wrong ones. Some were rubbish, some comedy's and somehow a raunchy one too but mostly I picked the classics. This is one of them.

  It’s Saturday night 1986, I’m 13 and have been watching Kung fu movies for several years after my cousins discovered them. &nbsp;Tonight I’ve got two buddies coming over and my dad rented four Kung fu movies from the video store down the road, Video Station. &nbsp;Man, their Kung fu selection was awesome because the guys who owned the store were also fans of Kung fu films.<br>My father rented four great films<br>1. The Prodigal Son<br>2. &nbsp;Chinese Connection<br>3. Iron Monkey<br>4. Invincible Armor<br> &nbsp;We destroyed the basement family room pretending we were Kung fu heroes. &nbsp;Those sessions of Kung fu marathons became the regular Saturday night thing. &nbsp;And it was also at that time my folks signed me up for Karate classes. &nbsp;<br>Now at 53, I still do Karate and I still watch Kung Fu movies, I enjoy it and never saw a reason to stop. &nbsp;Now I watch them with my son (he’s 26) and we both love The Prodigal Son and 36th Chamber of Shaolin as among our favorites.<br>God, I miss those days in the 80’s, but also love the now days with my son. &nbsp;These films are treasures!!!

  Who&apos;s still watching this in 1982<br><br>Feels like yesterday this came out. Can&apos;t believe it&apos;s been 5 yrs

  Its 1988, iam 10 years, old its a Saturday and me and my cousins just rented three Kung-Fu films with money we saved during the week. Its gonna be a weekend filled with reenactments of the moves we see in these movies. We will laugh, we will cry and some of us will get hurt....but overall its a memory i will never forget...<br><br>Thank you for &nbsp;taking me down memory lane

  One of the best Kung Fu movies ever made. I&apos;ve watched it quite a number of times and still never feel enough of it.

  Takes me to Black Belt theater on Saturday afternoons when I was a kid. After watching me and my friends would go outside and imitate the movies. &nbsp;Life was simple back then.

  I grew up following and watching these movies in the cinemas on the West Indian islands of Trinidad and Tobago together with spaghetti westerns. Those were the good old days back in the West Indies.🇨🇦
