You gave me better instructions for speaker placement than I could get out of the local sound expert. Thank you!

I wished i saw this video 5 years ago when I installed my atmos speakers. The dolby diagram pdf for home theater is much better and less confusing now than it was 5 years ago. I recall the Dolby "theater" diagram was more accurate than the dolby "home" atmos guide back then, especially where they placed the atmos speakers in the room in the pdf.

Thank you. You explained this in a way that I could understand. When people talk about such and such degrees I have no idea wtf that means. Measurements I do in inches. So was no problem. I had to move my seating area forward and my back ceiling speakers further back, recalibrated and...sounds better than I ever heard it yet. More even and balanced sound all over room appreciated!

The Steven Smith School of HT Design. Very good explanation. I used all these calculation methods in my 7.4.4 bedlayer speaker placement. The only recommendation I would have is to make the measurement of height from MLP ear level to ceiling from your normal reclined position.
