This is how you handle nonsense like this. Please don't get me wrong, if a person is in major danger, RUN FOR THE HILLS, but if something can be fixed, give it a try first. OP and her family (including MIL) handled it like bosses while giving hubby a way back to redemption.

I'm unsure how people make it past that stuff. There's a huge difference between forced apologies and redeeming actions, and doing those things because the person wants to. I don't think I could accept action after that because like the story said it was done only after he was publicly put in his place. He didn't care what he did, said, and didn't do or say until AFTER that.
