I don’t think this group of people actually live in caves as described here. This is more of a dramatized documentary. Most of them speak Sinhala, though they also try to use their own language. Still, it’s interesting to learn how their ancestors lived in harmony with nature and preserved their culture.

There are tribes with similar or almost similar name in Bangladesh (Bede) and south India with similar physical appearance and color. It is possible in ancient time people moved south (no place to move to north) in places like Sri Lanka, Australia etc.

It’s wild how much ancient knowledge modern society has forgotten.
I’ve been researching similar real-world tribal mysteries — the deeper I dig, the crazier it gets.

Few years ago leader of the tribe went to UK and airline allowed to let him take his axe in the flight as a respect to their customs...

The linguistic connection between the Proto-Saharan origins and the Dravidian language family reveals a fascinating web of ancient global migrations. Central to this connection is agglutination, a grammatical process where suffixes are attached to a root word to change its meaning without altering the root itself. This "modular" structure is the DNA that links Dravidian languages with Sumerian, certain African languages, and even Australian Aboriginal languages. The presence of shared retroflex sounds (like the distinct 'L' and 'N' sounds in Malayalam and Tamil) and structural logic suggests that these geographically distant cultures may share a prehistoric ancestor or a period of intense cultural exchange thousands of years ago.

Today, the Dravidian language family is a diverse yet unified structure, categorized into South, South-Central, Central, and North groups. From the ancient literary traditions of Tamil and Malayalam in the south to the isolated Brahui speakers in the mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan, this family represents one of the world's most resilient linguistic lineages. Its global footprint is equally impressive; driven by trade and migration, Dravidian languages are now vibrant living tongues in Singapore, Malaysia, the Middle East, and beyond. This widespread presence ensures that the ancient agglutinative logic born in the cradle of civilization continues to thrive in the modern digital era.
