The OLD corp structure is gone. Middle management is dead. Now, it’s only exec mgmt / tech team / sales team. All functions reside within one of those three areas.

1. a hiring paradox: overqualified for mid-level roles but lacking direct experience for senior positions
2. employers now realize that graduates with specific skills also able to be coached for general management
3. companies are being more cautious with budgets, leading to fewer job openings

0:08 The game is to lure people to universities, take all their money, give them a paper o diploma and after of that to tell them you are overqualified or you have no experience and deny them the job...

My sister worked for a marketing manager who wanted to teach marketing as a second career after retirement (his bachelor's was in English). He went to John's Hopkins part time in his 50's and got his master's degree (his employer paid for it). The head of my office in Maryland State government had a master's degree and taught marketing classes on the side at a UMD University College (now UMD Global) for extra income. Both my boss and my sister's boss got their Master's degrees because they wanted to teach on the side and for second careers after retirement.

1> Macro Trend
2> Over Saturation of MBA
3> Industry has moved to Creator Model than Corporate model

MBA has never produce any results, it is all about networking effect !! and like any false ad, one day or other it is bound to drop and so it is !!

I've completed my MBA.. and it's a struggle finding a job, I am looking into MBA fellowships with the Chicagoland area..to give me that boost. I've been working in healthcare for over 25 years. I went back to school to change careers, and I received my BS in Business Administration w/con Human Resource Management and I also completed my MBA with concentration Human Resource. Throughout my years in the healthcare sector, I have been in leadership roles throughout my life with my own team.

MBAs are too general to be useful to most industries at an operational level.
Industries are looking instead for specific skills sets these days rather than a generalist manager.
It seems that specific professional certifications are more useful in getting hired than having an MBA.
An MBA is a good qualification for someone who is a graduate or experinced professional wanting to understand the technicalities of running complex organisations and network with like-minded high-fliers.

Ivy League MBA is the fastest way to get to be CEO of a Fortune 100 company in the 1950s! Now MBA means absolutely nothing to qualify for business jobs. The companies want an individual that is already trained for the position. Even business startups, investment banking and VC want work experience! No training for the job now!

Alot of places want to hire people who have experience doing the job or can translate their skills to their job irregardless if you have an MBA or not. Especially now a lot of companies are being catius with who they hire because their budget is a bit tighter.

Business schools are not teaching the skills companies are hiring for. In fact, more and more companies are hiring people who DON'T have MBAs. If you don't know to PROVE that you know what you CLAIM on LinkedIn you know how to do end-to-end, then you'll be SOL...and won't even know why.
