The feeling of thinking someone is anything out pleased with you is crippling. I have to ask myself check in questions to rationalize my irrational thoughts. I’m almost 41 and still working on it.

Thank you! I have been called “sensitive” all my life and as an insult. You are right, it’s not a bad thing.

You absolutely can say it at work. I once had a boss who told me we needed to have a chat when I got back from holiday, the day I was leaving to have a week off. I put my foot down and insisted we have the chat now, then had a chat about how that spikes my anxiety. After that chat, it became "can we have a chat as soon as you've finished your current task?"<br><br>It's one of the things I tell a potential boss in an interview now.

„Context is king“ THIS. It is everything. Everything is connected. Everything can be easily misunderstood. Been told all my life I’m too sensitive.

On average , a child with adhd hears 20 000 more negative comments/criticisms by age 10. That definitely contributes to RSD

Rich, that was a powerful insight. It's often a fact that people with RS are so tuned in to mood they often mistake preoccupation in others as they are angry with them.

I just got diagnosed with ADHD at 28, and honestly, watching these videos feels like I'm finally understanding the way I've been <b>existing</b> in the world and why.

I saw you for the first time and thought, look at this blue-haired woman, here to explain how ADHD works—just like so many others on YouTube try to do…<br><br>But you know what? Somehow, I kept watching your videos, again and again and again…<br><br>Even though we live completely different lives, we have so much in common—both in the past and the present. And you've touched my heart in a way I never expected.<br><br>Honestly, I think you're one of the most beautiful women I've seen on YouTube—both in character and presence.<br><br>I'm am so so sorry for my prejudices, and thank you for everything you’ve done for me, without even knowing it. ❤️

The “disphoria” bit describes how intensely awful the experience is. It’s not just a bit annoying, it makes you feel “disphoric” i.e. the opposite of euphoric

It is just beautiful to see how you communicate with one another. Your honest vulnerability touches me deeply. I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's so hard to be sensitive- we feel so deeply. <br><br>Thank you for both being 💯 you!!!!❤❤❤

i had a previous boss that would say on friday as i was about to leave, "can i talk to you first thing monday?" I HATED IT, eventually i just started saying, "sure, what will it be about, so i can prepare." and i found bosses actually think you're being proactive and a good employee, and it helped with the anxiety

"Can I talk to you?" Sounds like "it's over!" 😂😅
