  The acoustic Handpan just has suuuuch beautiful overtones 🥰 But the digital one is pretty impressive too!

  I am a happy Neotone user and find several advantages to it:<br>- The possibility of playing with headphones without disturbing anyone (and the battery lasts 8 hours, so you can play outdoors without plugging in).<br>- The possibility of having so many scales, extending them a lot, mutant notes...<br>- The options of connecting it via MIDI to the computer.<br>- In addition, I love the aesthetics and the “organic” feel and warmth of the wood even more than steel.<br>I also have a good digital piano and, for my use, I prefer it over an acoustic one.<br>Amy, it would be great if you could make a video about the Neotone settings, as there are so many possibilities: Velocity hardness, sustain, sensitivity curves, etc. and how they can be applied.<br>Thank you and keep up the good work!

  Nothing beats the sound of an acoustic handpan ❤ The sound has more layers to it.

  I Love both but not equally. The Digital Pan is outstanding with perfect sound samples &amp; so versatile any Handpan artist including myself would love to have one. That said, the digital can never replace the touch, feel, vibrations &amp; healing of playing an Acoustic Handpan.

  Very interesting comparison, Amy! I have come to see handpans as a very intimate instrument and I really enjoy the feeling of the material on my fingertips so I think the main difference is that when you play the Neotone, it&apos;s not really you who touches the instrument. But having a Neotone would be super fun beeing able to program different scales 😃

  This was very cool. I felt the neotone sounded softer and more muted than the handpans.

  Thank you for this comparison!! (I am very engaged and interested in anything Neotone!) After considering ordering a custom acoustic E Sabeye/D Kurd-ish mutant in March (to obtain what I perceive as possibly a more “versatile” chromatic instrument), I instead ordered the Neotone mutant so that I could experience multiple scales (before maybe ordering my “dream” custom acoustic in the future). I won’t receive the Neotone until July, so the 4-month wait time seems unbearable!! I appreciate the craftspersonship, the overtones, and the knocks and taks of the acoustic pans, but I hope I will appreciate the scale and note versatility of the Neotone Mutant even more than those features! For future Neotone videos, I would love to see the construction/use/demo of a chromatic scale in which many chords can be played (relative to an acoustic instrument), that demonstrates increased versatility of the Neotone handpan to jam with other instruments and accompany voice (kind of like a piano or guitar accompaniment).
