  One thing my dad showed me many years ago was with open vents, was to get a pint pot half full of water and put it on the vent. You could see if it was sucking in or over pumping.  We did a lot of solid fuel and we all know the issues with the "British Gas" air separators blocking up!   Nice one Tom<br>On most pumps it tells you minimum head required and that looked like you was on less than minimum just check to save your self only way is to raise header tank <br>Regards <br>Lawrence Peters
