I bought 6 Vostok watches in 1980s .They are still working outstandingly fine . No mod and no reparations. I love them all.

In 1961 I received, as a present , a Soviet golden watch Vostok , and it functioned good for a lot of years.

It has been said so many times that Russians build things to actually work, rather than for the sake of profit—especially military equipment. These were state-owned factories focused on national defense, not private ones driven by profit.

This was a fun video and the AI glitches were especially entertaining. I own over a dozen Russian watches including Poljot, Luch, and Raketa, and the Vostoks remain the best runners of the bunch.

They tested one of these in a pressure vesel on beyond the press, it took the eqiuvelent of 1.5km depth before it stopped

The way things keep moving by themselves and the huge size of the watches is just uncanny in a creepy way. Especially the machinery in the shipping crate twitching.
