Best way to get Chittin is the South Cave, your barry should be plenty for the cave. One tip, when you see a dino in the distance don't charge it, he probably has some friends waiting to jump you. Instead, stay on the barry and shoot it so it comes to you.

Sorry about the Barry, that's bad luck. Getting another for the south cave would be ideal, but all your really need is a good level raptor.

Where you found the crystal isn't really a mountain, we call that crystal hill. The bigger mountains further north have a lot more.

Where you are, you are going to see alphas. They can break stone so you'll want to make metal walls as soon as you can.

Nice job on the PT. As soon as you can make an Argy saddle, you can use it to tame one. They are one of the best dinos on this map.

Otters are great to help with heat and cold, you wear them on your neck as a shoulder pet. You can find them in the rivers but they're hard to tell apart from the fish. You can often find them at the green obelisk and they're easier to spot there, at the bottom there's a moat. You unalive a fish and drag the carcas to it to feed it to tame it. Now that you have wings, that's open to you as well.
