  i tried to apply to my local walmart back in 2013, they never hired me. 😩 they hired my bestfriend but she told me the horror stories and said i dodged a bullet. thank you for sharing your story! please do more! ❤ also thank goodness you had a backup job, & treated the server job as the main priority. cause im sure you got treated better, getting tips, AND loving what you do

  I worked as an overnight grocery stocker at Walmart. I worked at a reasonable good pace, yet the manager would still call me to his office telling me I worked "too slow"......And management would reprimand and coach you if you assisted a coworker in any way, it's just crazy....The CBL teamwork training no longer applies once you're working on the floor.....I felt I was picked on and harassed while I was working my night shift by managers......it got so bad I decided to quit, to me it's not worth working for them they treat you so bad for no reason......I only lasted 1 month their, and once I quit I will never be eligible for rehire which is ok with me, Fu** Walmart

  Worked there for a month and quit yesterday. Very toxic work environment and for what they pay you it’s just not worth it

  John Walton is rolling over in his grave! &nbsp;😂 &nbsp;I just applied at Walmart about a week ago. &nbsp;So far my background check was completed through the company they use after I accepted a job offer. &nbsp;Now I&apos;m stuck in waiting la la land to hear from &nbsp;them. &nbsp;I have called and called, trying to get through to HR, with no response. &nbsp;Have googled etc to see if anybody else is experiencing same bs. &nbsp;Yes they are 😂. &nbsp; But since I was fired from a grocery store after 8 years as a cashier and my customers loved me, I need a job. &nbsp;I&apos;m a senior and because social security is not enough, I have to work. &nbsp;Well if I can just work another 8 years that would be awesome. &nbsp;Thanks for the insight on Wally World. &nbsp;It was definitely their loss, firing you!

  The availability thing is honestly so irritating. I have doctor appointments and another job and they wanna schedule me whenever the f they feel like! “The system makes the schedule…” sounds like damn lies! I had to not pick up shifts at my other jobs just so that i don’t keep RACKING up points. <br>I ended up looking up things on reddit, people said you can change your “true availability” before the waiting period that the app makes you wait, and that is precisely what i did. Coach and store manager got angry, but damn, idgaf, u not about to make me miss shifts from my higher paying job and make me miss appointments. Im leaving once my scheduled weeks are done. Im not scheduled for the weeks that have my true availability set in stone, they didnt put me on any shifts, even though i know they need people at certain times THAT IM AVAILABLE FOR. <br>Also, it’s such bullshit when the managers act like hiring someone else is such a pain.. like its a phone call away and you do it all the damn time… but u want people to be held HOSTAGE to your EVER-CHANGING schedule. It is ridiculous. If they actually hated having to hire people, they would work on keeping the people they already hired. But nope. Everyone is just a productivity measure for their team. They just care about themselves really.

  Former wireless sales corporate employee went to Walmart after my company downsized 9000 of us (no cause termination) led to me applying for the electronics dept at Walmart. &nbsp;Started at $16 hour electronics TA here &nbsp; &nbsp; the job description is really the killer with this company, make sure yall read it from your offer letter, because your job title says nothing about what ya actually will be doing. &nbsp; I&apos;m never at electronics because lawn and garden, paint, automotive, home decor for furniture builds and displays and toys always needs me building bikes lego displays and photo needs me to help customers manage order flow constantly, and because my job duties include all of GM I&apos;m also the guy who needs to show up to hand other associates the supplies for spills. &nbsp;Keep in mind now I&apos;m a trained Kroger omniclerk prior to this. &nbsp;I&apos;m used to being all over the store &nbsp; but damn. &nbsp;I&apos;m now running 10 football fields in a span of an hour &nbsp; we are not paid for the labor we are putting in fr. &nbsp;Walmart is extremely challenging. &nbsp;It&apos;s harder than Target and definitely harder than Kroger. &nbsp;I have not worked this hard since I got out of the military.
