Aspen, I just got home from my top surgery and I cannot express the depths of delight I had in seeing that you posted today. I've always appreciate and enjoyed your soothing energy, and this video is exactly right for an afternoon resting and recovering. I've watched your content for a long time, and it's always meant so much to me that you're a non-binary crafter, but especially so today.
Your star socks are so so cute and inspired me to start my journey into small circumference knitting. Wishing you only the best!

congratulations on starting HRT and choosing a new name! I first found your channel when searching for masc crochet patterns at the very start of my own gender journey, and it is really incredible to hear a little about your own

fantastic projects -- the pigeon one especially is super cool!

Socks have become my preferred knitting project over the last 2 years. I have knit a few pairs of 100% wool socks and regretted it as soon as I see felting around the ankles after the first wear. MadTosh Sock was the worst! Some of the best wearing yarn isn't initially soft (Patons Kroy Sock, Regia Pairfect-10 year guarantee!) but they have a blend of non-merino wool and polyamide that holds up much better. For sock patterns, I recommend checking out Summer Lee. She has individual patterns and collections for sale including colorwork, lace, and textured knits for DK and fingering yarns. I am making her Hibernal socks in a merino/silk/nylon blend right now.

greatest refresh pull. I've been working on my first ever pair of socks but as soon as I'm better at it, I'm absolutely attempting those Boxing Day socks! They're gorgeous.

That blue is quite possibly your color! It looks SO STUNNING when you hold it up! I must say, your voice is GORGEOUS. I’m so damn happy to “see” you here; I wish you and your partner a very merry Yule, happy holidays, and a bitchin’ new year! Cheers! 😊🧡. PS: animal crossing fossil sweater!

I'm really happy you're back to posting semi regularly again, I can't imagine how much a concussion injury interrupts a person's life. I love the yarn you used in your blue sweater. Every time I see it, I crush over it. I'm one that can't make myself do simplicity, even when maybe I'd like something more simple. That yarn really shines with 'simple' though. I also love your star socks, and yeah, very Coraline! But I do think of witchy things, or magical things. You blue trellis top is awesome- I love blue..😂 Good job learning to sew. I hate sewing, though I should probably learn more, because there are things I'd like to do. I've done alot of hand sewing, and prefer that over machine, even though machine is much more practical and faster, and really I just need to suck it up and do more machine sewing. I make alot of my own patterns too (crochet, knit, sewing), and really don't think I'd do well writing them..

Sewing any type of garment that is meant to fit your derrière is fraught with issues! Like trousers (pants) there are so many curves and planes on our bodies - each person's shape is very different, and each pattern is made for a different shape too. Often alterations are needed, but may require 1/8" taking in, which straightens out what looks like acres of creases or bulges. Taking a series of in-person classes on trouser fitting is the way to go, you will learn so much about yourself and your body! Having said all this, your boxer shorts are so cute, and I love the button detail!

The mesh trellis tank is beautiful. Hope you finish the pattern, I'll buy it for sure.

When you mentioned Paul Haesemeyer I had to double check his pattern page because I went to high school with him! I'm still a baby knitter so I haven't looked at any of his patterns but he's a really cool cat. I'm glad hes popular enough to be mentioned on this channel :) small world!
