You know, this kind of makes Odin a tragic character, then.  His actions, while reprehensible, were born out of fear.  A fear that - if your theory in this video happened to hold any weight - Athena instilled in Odin.  I find that intriguing.  What other god king was infected with fear after Pandora's Box was opened?  Zeus.

Let’s not forget that when Atreus is translating the Mask scriptures he reads obsidiani spitha and that’s Greek … it makes you think

Then going forward a few thousand years, Loki's mask SOMEHOW got into the possession of Stanley Ipkiss

This is the most solid and reliable theory about God of War Ragnarok I've heard so far.

The idea of Gefjon being another name for Athena reminded me of something funny. When the Romans learned about the Norse Gods, they thought Odin was Hermes (Mercury). Would love to see the in-universe Odin's reaction to that idea.

Well there is one problem tho... Mimir knows who Athena is, here is a line from 2018 God of War: "And I always knew you were Greek, Athena? Dead giveaway."

See Odin's obsession of the mask makes us obsessed with it as we all are very skeptical on what was in the rift

I like the idea that Athena is the one responsible for malipulating the events of the story and if they make another game in the future i just hope that they make her a boss or something shes the true villian behind it all also since the plain of existence is a thing i just hope they go more into detail with that as well

It's scary how much sense this makes. And the fact that she's willing to sacrifice any Pantheon to rise to power is just crazy to me. But as you said it all kind of fits
