  Those brown kiwi-looking fruits are called Chiku. When fully ripe, the flesh has a sandy, grainy texture,  but very sweet. We haves these in Singapore too 😊

  A melting pot of culture!<br>I am a Tai-Ahom from Assam( yes I belong to the great Tai lineage) of Northeast India. Just like Ahom, there are also different Tai ethnicities like the Tai-Khamti, Tai Phake, Tai Khamyang, Tai Turung, Tai Lai- around the northeastern part of India. Dress, cuisine are so similar. I have got chills, seeing the silkworm that we are so fond of. Also the members of the Tibeto-Burman speakers who have similar food habits such as the Nagas, Bodos, Karbis, Meities, Garo and Kokborok. &nbsp;Zhum yao!

  The dai ethics group are closer related to laos people. The reason they can understand thais from Chang Mai region is because the thais around that area speak an Issan dialect which is closely related to laos &nbsp;language. Plus, they used to be part of the old laos kingdom of Lan-xang. The kingdom of one million elephants. Hints the rivers name.

  I m from Malaysia n practice Theravada Buddhism. Like d Thai we send our sons to b Samenara or temporary monk to learn d basics of being a proper person with compassion, integrity n loving kindness!🙏 TQ for showing an interesting market place revealing their food n culture!😍

I eventually found my interests were almost 100% in Yunnan province. From there I realized everything I was looking for was mostly in Southeast Asia, but this colored rice was the first thing I saw in a video showcasing Yunnan that pulled me in wanting a closer look. That, and the nature of the region. <br><br>What an absolutely beautiful place! So rich in culture, nature, and the annual weather looks very comfortable.<br><br>Thanks for sharing Yan. I was very happy to see another video about Yunnan from you!
