One of the great American pianists. I was gifted a 78rpm album of him playing the “Rhapsody in Blue” with Paul Whiteman. He was in the Navy during .WW II. If I could play like this at 90, I would be thrilled.

Being upright, let alone being able to play the piano like this at 90 is indeed a miracle.

Tremendous even at 90 there's plenty of evidence of the massive wild technique... But just as important is the temperament he puts into the music....sure he does some things that aren't perfect,but he's 90, playing the crap out of piano,at a age that most people don't even get to let alone walk .... And to play like that ....

about 20 yrs ago...he also transposed the entire marcello 1 whole step downward to c minor, from its original d minor

What were they thinking, putting him up to this concert. It is so sad to hear him play like this. Some greedy people taking advantage and trying to squeeze every last drop before he couldn't do it anymore?
