I think a fun video would be if you explored thrift stores in your area and highlighted all of the “past trends” that you find collecting dust on the shelves. Labubus, Stanley cups, Trader Joe’s tote bags, etc

My grandma had almost 0 decor when she moved out on her own at 18, but by the time she died at 86, her home was beautifully decorated from floor to ceiling with antiques, art, and thrift finds that reflected her personal style and made her happy. That didn't happen in her first month of moving into her first apartment. Feeling the need to have a completely decorated, "aesthetic" living space from the day you move in is unnecessary, wasteful, and less fulfilling than slowly curating pieces that resonate with you over time.

6:00 As a dietitian, THANK YOU for saying this!! You are spot on. We talk about protein as if it's something we are deficient in, when that's far from the truth. If anything, we eat waaaaay too MUCH protein in North America and not enough fibre... despite low fibre intake being linked to many chronic diseases.

What's even more frustrating about the cutting board is that the original is not even good quality, it is cut on the cross grain and not the end grain making the board weak and not very long lasting

16:20 the issue with the ballerina farm cutting board is that it was not made ethically or sustainably made. It was the same quality as the dupes.

thank you so much for saying it's the FIBER that we should be talking about about. as a vegetarian, people are constantly asking me where i get my protein and i'm so weary. the average vegetarian easily gets 1.5x the amount of protein they need in a day in the United States. the average meat eater at least double. but in 2014 a study found that almost 70% of United States citizens had a fiber deficiency.

Health of the planet being a big part of individual health is such a great pov I’ve never thought of.

I completely agree that people sometimes discount quality but in the case of BF's cutting board, it was face grain which is the worst (vs. edge or top grain) so it wasn't actually high quality and would soon warp and damage your good knives.
