  historically Italian tanks were under armoured, under powered with weak guns and outdated manufacturing processes as well as having relatively low production numbers. Italy was so unprepared for war they had to convert WW1 rifles for use in frontline units

  You should always puppet all of the Ethiopian warlords with resource rights. 2 of them will get rubber production in there focus tree. And because those are already in states from which you can demand resource rights you get like 50 rubber for free. And you can still make italian east africa after that. Its a really big early game boost as italy.

  HOI4 tank meta is so scuffed, literally everything that didn&apos;t work irl is aparently god tier in hoi4 (especially multi turreted tanks)

  What&apos;s the point in withdrawing from ethiopia? Italy has a war at the start of the game and you can farm army exp with that. You also lose PP, stability, you get lots of debuffs. No point in doing that unless you going to alternative history path

  While I like your trick of adding the civs then looking to see what the top locations with most available slots are, there is another key item to this metric. &nbsp;It is the total slots (filled and not filled). &nbsp;The reason for this is that as you tech up in industry your slots increase as a percentage. &nbsp;So a place with 15 total slots will get more new slots when you tech up compared to one that has 5. &nbsp;So, even if all 5 of those were free at the start, while only 3 were free in the 15 slot location, you are better off building infrastructure in the 15 slot location because over time you will end up with more slots to build in.
