  All of these places have been in business for over ten years in NYC which is enough to say they’re &nbsp;probably not a gimmick.

  I love how almost every comment is someone from a different country or culture talking about how much they love their version of rice pudding and how it&apos;s a childhood comfort food.<br>Same here in Germany it&apos;s called Milchreis and we have it either with brown butter and cinnamon sugar or cooked cherries/stewed red fruit.<br>The only thing better is Grießbrei which is a kind of semolina cooked with sugar and milk with the same topping. I like the texture better and it&apos;s easier to make.

  I would much rather eat at a restaurant that does one dish really well than one that has 40 different mediocre ones

  &apos;Nobody has ever craved rice pudding&apos; &apos;uncommon dessert&apos; and &apos;we can all agree mac n cheese is a side dish&apos;. Are we living on different planets? Because none of these made any sense to me.

  Rice pudding (kheer in my language) is literally the most famous desert in my country so I totally get why someone would make a restaurant for it. It’s genuinely so sooo good and versatile!!
